Evilswarm is not a anti meta

Evilswarm is not anti meta. People are saying they are anti meta because the 2 top OCG decks at this time need to special summon level 5 or Higher monsters to function.

However an anti meta deck is defined as a deck built to counter the current meta. If evilswarm was an anti meta deck it would of only seen tops in formats were it counters the meta. We would not of seen in formats were the top decks did not depend on special summoning level 5 or higher monsters.

However since the release of Evilswarm Kerykeion evilswarm topped in formats were the top decks did not depend on special summoning level 5 or higher. Therefore it was not built to counter a meta. Therefore it is not anti meta.

evilswarm is'nt anti-meta ophion is. And also kerykeion was released in a format where decks depend highly on special summoning lvl 5 or higher. Also just cuz a deck is anti meta that doesnt mean it cant top other tournies.

it also deals with how people play it and build there decks most of the time ophion is out 1st with imunity to traps and spells due to infestation.. its easy to see why people consider it a antimeta due to the t1 and 2 r easily countered by it.. and some people do aim for the anti meta by useing traps and the like and besides ophion is pretty much the main highlight of the deck so if the deck is based on him one might actualy say it could be a antimeta deck.. it rly depends how u make it
